Builders Club, a community service club associated with Kiwanis International, strives to serve our school, community, country, and world. The club is open to all students and meets in Room 37 with Mrs. Breese on Mondays after school.
Since September, the club has: raised over $1300 for UNICEF, made 350 tray favors for Torrance Memorial Hospital, made and sent 75 Veteran's Day cards to Veteran's Hospital, made 56 care kits containing toiletries for the homeless, and made and collected over 200 Christmas Cards for Veteran's Hospital. We also have three on-going projects: collecting aluminum can pull-tabs for Ronald McDonald House (30,000 so far this year), collecting Yoplait yogurt lids for Cancer Research (425 so far) and collecting used cell phones ( Kiwanis converts them for use for 911 calls only and distributes them to the elderly and women in shelters). We are committed to making our school , community and world a better place.
